5. Can I cancel my order?

If you wish to cancel your order, please contact us as soon as possible. If you’d like to cancel a commission, it must be before the process has commenced and deposit has been received.

6. Are there any upfront costs for a commission?

Yes, we will take 50% of final quote upfront as a deposit once the commission form is signed. This is to ensure your spot on our waitlist has been confirmed.

7. What if I'm not happy with my commission?

It is Meg's top priority that you love your artwork, that is why you approve the initial draft before Meg begins. However, once the painting is complete she will work with you until you love it. We want to ensure all our clients love their final piece. Meg provides one free revision to adjust the piece to your liking. If after that you would like more amendments, Meg will inform you of the minor extra costs.

8. Does amegstudio offer payment plans or After pay?

Meg typically requires a 50% deposit to secure your spot. If paying the full deposit upfront isn’t possible, she may be able to accommodate by accepting smaller initial payments, with the balance of the deposit paid in instalments before your artwork begins. Please note, Afterpay is not available, and full payment must be completed before your artwork is delivered.

9.  What is the difference between a Keepsake artwork and a Legacy artwork? How do I know which is right for me?

A large factor is cost, Legacy pieces are more expensive as they are entirely unique.

Option 1 – Keepsake: A pre-designed colour palette (created by Meg), printed on premium canvas and framed. Meg then hand-paints your children and their chosen elements around it. (Includes up to 7 background elements; additional elements can be added for a small fee.)

Option 2 – Legacy: A fully original artwork with a completely custom palette. You select the colours, and Meg designs the background with as many elements as you’d like.

If one of the pre-designed palettes feels right for your space, Option 1 (Keepsake) is a great choice. If you’d like something larger, more personalised, featuring more than three portraits, or a more detailed/complex design, Option 2 (Legacy) is the better fit.

10. Should I get one artwork for each child, or one of all my children together?

This comes down to personal preference and budget. Having an individual piece for each child is extremely special, this allows you to capture their unique personality and elements in a way they can treasure forever and collect pieces as your family grows. However, Including all your children together is more cost effective and a beautiful option - creating one nostalgic piece that reflects the shared childhood and memories of your whole family.

11.  If I complete a form now but won’t receive my artwork for 6+ months, can I update it with new pictures and elements?

Definitely. Closer to the time Meg begins your artwork, you’ll have the opportunity to update your form or simply send through new photos and elements. This way, your piece will reflect your children as they grow and their favourite things as they change.

12. Do you offer a service where my artwork can be replicated into prints?

Yes! For an additional fee, we can replicate your original artwork into a high-quality canvas print that looks almost identical to the original. This is a wonderful, cost-effective way to share your artwork with loved ones - whether as gifts for your children, grandparents, or other family members. Many families adore this option, as it allows them to keep the original piece while also creating multiple treasured versions to gift for other family members to enjoy.

13. Will I receive a certificate of authentication?

Yes, all original works and commissions will come with a certificate of authenticity which will be sent to your email address, and will be sent physically with the painting.

14. What if I want a commission but I'm not finished growing my family?

At Amegstudio, we recognise the significance of inclusivity when it comes to family portraits. To truly capture the essence of your family, we suggest exploring individual portraits of each child, all crafted in the same style. To facilitate this, amegstudio extends discounts for multiple artworks, ensuring that every member is uniquely celebrated.
